Hull, Deck, Keel

GRP hull in white gelcoat. Black and blue stripes on the cabin sides and near the water line.

Deck: GRP with balsa sandwich in most flat areas.

Deck/Hull joint is covered with a white soft plastic rubbing strake/fendering.

Main bulkheads tab laminated into the hull.

Cast iron keel with a bulb, bolted into a GRP keel stub integral to the hull.

Balanced elliptical rudder with tiller helm.

Deck surface is mostly moulded with a textured non slip finish.

Hull stringers and cross members are fully GRP laminated into the hull bottom.

Keel bolts/studs inspected (replaced with SS) approximately 2019.

The rigging Inners and Cap Shrouds are secured on through deck D ring fittings which in turn are bolted through the deck to a substantial stainless steel fabrication. This fabrication is secured onto the GRP main hull side stringer and a transverse load bearing GRP cross member.

The mast is deck stepped, with directly underneath a Stainless Steel mast support in the cabin. This support in turn rests the compression load onto a series of GRP layup hull stringers and cross members at the forward edge of the keel.
